My top 5 wedding venues in west auckland for beautiful wedding photos. All set around the waitakere / kumeu area, a region rich with wineries, west coast beaches and countryside landscapes. One of the best parts about having your wedding in this area is that you have the options to easily take photos out at Muriwai beach which is a pretty stunning place for photos - especially at sunset. I live and operate my photography studio out of Muriwai and have photographed many weddings at these favourite venues.

1. The Barn Waimauku
With it’s natural, rustic and bohemian feel, at The Barn Waimauku, there is a large rustic barn for the reception. The ceremony area encapsulated in pine trees for that Forest vibe with lots of great spots for wedding photos: the train track, the forest, exterior of the barns and long grasses with rolling hills perfect for sunset couple shots. 2. Kumeu Valley Estate
A beautiful venue with so many options of photos spots around the grounds for wedding photography not to mention multiple ceremony areas including a indoor option - Great for unpredictable Auckland weather! After the ceremony guests can enjoy the garden bar while we explore the grounds for bridal party photos.

3. Abel estate
Abel Estate formerly Gracehill Vineyard is situated in Kumeu has a beautiful lake with a jetty, vineyards, lush greenery, trees and grounds. 4. Tui Hills
Tui hills is situated in the hills of Waitakere surrounded by native birds, lush forest and a beautiful venue to cater for your wedding photography dreams.
Tui Hills has a gorgeous woodland vibe and it’s perfectly set up for throwing a great party. Bethels Beach is close by for beach photos and a great option for your couple photos. However if you don’t want to be away from guests for too long, there are any options for bridal photos on the grounds including a stunning pergola which is really fun for night time shots. 5. Settlers Country Manor
I love photographing weddings at Settlers Country Manor venue. This venue is perfect no matter the weather with two indoor ceremony options and two outdoor options available. All your family and bridal party photos can be held on site with multiple options on the grounds. The manor banquet room is a perfect setting for reception too. It becomes a wonderful experience for your family and friends because they don’t need to go anywhere and it’s the same experience for a bride and groom because it’s a smooth transition from one part of the day to the next.
