1:1 Mentoring - Newborn & Maternity Photography

2 day Newborn & Maternity workshop - $1400

 Join me for two days of one on one mentoring in-studio & on location In West Auckland, New Zealand where you will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience during in person Newborn and Maternity photography sessions with Jenna zane Photography.

If you are new or just starting out in the photography business, this workshop will provide you with the knowledge and confidence to take your career to the next level.
During the workshop you’ll learn everything that happens at my newborn sessions from start to finish including all things business, marketing, workflow & editing! We’ll discuss set up, prop choices, lighting, posing, and editing. You’ll gain confidence learning how to safely handle newborns and take care of their parents.

You will also gain behind the scenes access to a maternity shoot with me, leaning insider tips and tricks, from how I pose & shoot my maternity sessions to capturing the gorgeous golden sunsets you see in all of my work.

I will show you my culling and image selection process and how to deliver a gallery to a client. Your editing skills will rise to a new level as I walk you through how I edit each of my images. All of the images you capture during the 1:1 mentoring session can be used in your own portfolio as well. 

We will cover in the studio:
• Posing newborns safely
• Workflow to get the most from a newborn session
• The equipment I use
• Using natural Light
• Wrapping
• Camera settings (however basic shooting in manual is required)
• Set-up for Arrival of Newborn
• Posing Beanbag
• Posing using Props
• Soothing/Settling

We will cover on shooting location :
• Outfits & styling
• Posing and workflow
• Setting your camera for outdoor lighting
• Using natural Light

Business and Editing:
• Photoshop and Lightroom
• Social media and marketing
• How to set up your website
• Advice on branding & business
• Pricing your work

You will need a DSLR camera and preferably a 35mm, 50mm lens and have a basic understanding of aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings and be comfortable shooting in manual mode.
Deposit of $500 to be made when booking and the remainder to be paid two weeks before your workshop date. Snacks and drinks will be provided on the day of the workshop.
